At approximately 11:30 P.M. on October 30th at Halloweezy, Pi Kappa Alpha’s chapter floor concaved due to a large number of attendees jumping during the song “Mo Bamba” by Sheck Wes. This party last occurred two years ago during which the floor was dented, and the year before that, Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s floor was similarly affected during the same song.
The construction financed by Millsaps began over Thanksgiving break and was recently completed, but one Pike member predicts more trouble in the future.
The member who requested anonymity stated, “Unless the house as a whole is fixed like the foundation itself, this is just a band aid fix until the next accident happens.” He also wished that the security member present that night had been more understanding about the situation.
