It’s All About the Shirt

They may not be suiting up in helmets and shoulder pads every weekend. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t hard nose football under the lights of Harper Davis Field midweek. After weeks of Sportscenter worthy plays and intense matchups, the Intramural Flag Football playoffs are under way.

The brothers of Kappa Alpha are the top seed in the men’s division and are looking to continue their reign as a flag football dynasty. They went undefeated in the regular season and it doesn’t look like anybody is standing in their way of the unprecedented three-peat. As LeBron James once said, “Not one. Not two. Not three.”

Pike and SAE have been trending upward over the course of the season and look to give KA a run for the holy shirts. Don’t be surprised if you see Cookies ‘N’ Cream make a run into the finals. They may be inconsistent but they have all the characteristics of a championship team.

On the women’s side, GDI is led by a veteran group and has been dominating the competition the entire season. Their tenacious defense and athleticism has been too much for the sorority ladies to handle. Phi Mu and Tri Delta have shown some promise, but they will have their hands full with GDI. Chi-O is also very capable of being a bracket buster, as they have displayed an improved running game this past week.
