Millsaps Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Religion Steven Smith has recently published two quarantine inspired musical videos on Youtube. The first video, titled “Loyal Ones Are We” is a “socially isolated contribution” to the 2020 Millsaps Talent Show  that was canceled after students were sent home due to concerns related to COVID-19. The video features haunting images of a Millsaps campus empty of students.

Dr. Smith’s second musical video is a cooperative project with Professor of Religion James Bowley titled “Coronatown Blues.”
